Who has access to my information?
FindOut Diagnostic saves your data according to our Integrity Policy. There you can get more information and read how to proceed so that we can delete your information.
My healthcare provider has sent a referral but I do not see it.
While logged in to the FindOut Diagnostic App, you will find your referrals under the tab ”Referrals”. Make sure that the referral recipient is the same person who has logged in to the FindOut Diagnostic App with their BankID.
How do I know if I have responded to my healthcare provider's referral?
While logged in to the FindOut Diagnostic App, you will find the status of your referrals under the tab ”Referrals”. There you will see if you have responded to the referral.
Can I delete a referral from a healthcare provider?
No, the referral cannot be deleted because it has been initiated by the healthcare provider. You can ignore the referral until it is automatically deleted after 6 months in the FindOut Diagnostic App.
I can't find the mobile application, where can I download it?
Confirm that you have access to the correct market in App Store or Google Play. The mobile application is currently available on the Swedish and Norwegain markets.
Can I reuse an already used test?
The test is a one-time test and cannot be reused.
Can I perform the test if my mobile screen is broken?
Yes, if you can read the instructions in the FindOut Diagnostic App, you can complete the test.
Can I perform the test if my mobile camera is broken?
No, a working mobile camera is required to perform the test.
Do I need a BankID to complete the test?
Yes, we need to be able to identify you.
Can I take the test on someone else?
Yes you can perform the test on e.g. your child. If the test is performed on a referral by a healthcare provider, it is required that the referral recipient is the same as logged in with their BankID in the FindOut Diagnostic App.
Can I trust the test result if I used more / less than 3 drops of blood mixed buffer for the CRP test?
No, the test is designed to handle exactly 3 drops.
What happens if I come in contact with the buffer fluid?
Usually nothing, but you may experience a harmless rash or less severe allergic reaction. Wash the contact surface with soap and water.
Can I take the test outdoors?
No, the test should not be performed outdoors as direct sunlight may affect the test result.
Does it hurt to prick your finger?
No, but some may experience discomfort that passes quickly. Being sure to prick only the side of the finger will help minimise any discomfort.
Why are there two lancets and two capillary tubes in the package?
The test only requires you to use 1 lancet and 1 capillary tube. In the package there is 1 extra lancet and 1 extra capillary tube in reserve if needed. The instructions in the FindOut Diagnostic App contain all the information required to perform the test.
Can you use the lancet several times?
No. The lancet is for single use only and if you have pressed it once, the needle will not come out the second time. An extra lancet is included in the package if the first one did not give enough blood or was pressed prematurely.
How do I increase the blood flow in the finger?
Warm up your finger by holding your hand down and massaging your finger for about 30 seconds. You can also keep your hand under warm water before the sting (Note that the finger must be completely dry when using the lancet).
The capillary tube was not completely filled, can I trust the test result anyway?
No, the capillary tube needs to be completely filled for the test result to be reliable.
How long does it take to get a result?
The test takes under 15 minutes to complete.
How safe is the test?
The tests’ specification for accuracy can be found on our website under the information page for each test, as well as in the enclosed instructions for use.
Is the test result valid if I did not use the gray paper?
No, the test result is invalid and a new test needs to be performed.
How do I know what kind of infection I have if my CRP value is high?
Diagnosis should not only be based on the test result, but the final diagnosis is made together your other symptoms by a doctor / healthcare professional .

For the test result to be reliable, the user must consume gluten regularly before the test. A general recommendation is to consume gluten for at least 2-3 weeks (preferably longer) before the test.. The second line of the test is slightly faint / not clear, what does that mean?
Even a faint line counts as a line. It is often the case that the capillary tube has not been filled 100% with blood and if this is the case, then the test result is invalid and the test needs to be retaken.
Do I have celiac disease if the test result is positive?
The results show that there are tissue transglutaminase antibodies in the blood. The test results most likely indicate celiac disease but do not make a diagnosis yourself. In order to secure a correct diagnosis and get the right care, an investigation should be carried out by healthcare staff.
